Laura Manely is a CORU registered occupational therapist who graduated from University College Cork in 2025. Along with Emma Dempsey, Laura has led the first validation study of the Parenting Occupations and Purposes Framework – exploring the extent to which it reflects experiences of parents in Ireland.  This research, completed under the supervision of Professor Margaret McGrath (UCC), Associate Professor Anne Honey (University of Sydney) and Dr Yu-Wei Ryan Chen (University of Sydney) used experience sampling methodology to capture everyday parenting tasks and activities.
